Applicants are admitted to the PhD Program in Information Engineering after a two-step public selection:
- first, a pre-evaluation of the candidates qualifications by the examination Committee, based on the candidates curriculum and project proposal (candidates do not personally take part to this step);
- second, applicants receiving at least 35/50 points in the pre-evaluation are interviewed by the examination Committee.
Applications normally open in early April and close in mid May for the PhD program starting in October. The public selection takes place in June. Admission to the PhD program is based on the applicants ranking resulting from the admission examinations and on the number of positions available, that may change from year to year. Admitted candidates must enroll within the deadline reported in the call. Enrolled student start their PhD program on October 1st.
